I'm the confus-ed one !!
Methinks its nothing to do with drivers,
tried to install Win2k on my 2nd HD. Everything was going to plan. I installed Win2k on my second HD. When I tried to get sound however and I could not. I abandoned the installation for the night and decided to work on it the next day.
The next day I noticed that I couldn’t get sound on Win98SE either!.
So why would the drivers (previously working) in 98 have magically changed because of an XP install? Unless we weren't putting that where it ought....
Methinks its to do with ACPI (or bios allocations if that's off) but let's see first if Noo's fix works ....
