    Generic File Printer Driver

I'm looking for a preferably "free" printer driver that would allow me to "print" to a text file. I am running win 98 and have one program where I cutting and pasting large blocks of text is not good. I would rather print to a file and edit from there.

    Thanks for your help

    Sam

    Sam,

You already have your driver. It is part of the operating system. You can create a new printer and for the port name, instead of LPTx, put FILE Whenever you print to this printer it should ask you for a filename and send the job there. As far as formatting in text just tell your application to send text only.

    Good Luck

Yeah, that's "free" and you can use EDIT.COM after.
