So welcome to windrivers geefost.
From Hippie_tech's earlier description, I think I'd concluded its all one bit - his remarks 'soldered on' ?
Laptops aren't really my thing, but I guess to give others/me clues to help you, every bit of info you can find will help, so lcd make & any 'mysterious' numbers that might clue up some of the 'googlers' around here .. oh & for what its worth I think the fact that you seemingly can't get the bits seperate, stinks too !

As Confus-ed has stated, it is "all one bit". You would have to get the whole screen to get the inverter board, unfortunately.

Ta for the indirect confirmation there, Hippie_tech (I thought you'd disappeared ), I pressume then you ended up replacing 'the whole thing' but under your 'discovered' warranty ?

Yes, it was replaced under warranty. The whole display panel that is.
