Give me a few days, and maybe I'll narrow down your problem, dude.
See, I use Windows (primary) and Ubuntu 9.04 native version (secondary), so maybe I'll be able to narrow down your problem.

Similar situation here, windows primary, kubuntu secondary. Kubuntu doesn't have an issue with 4gb ram does it?
