    Resolved [RESOLVED] KT7A -ZipDrive Incompatibility

This a problem that is driving me crazy. I cannot get my zipdrive to work on my Abit KT7A MB. I have heard that it is an issue with the chipset. Have tried all avenues for help but nothing yet. All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

No,but I've built a lot of Athlon/Duron systems for my company and for our customers, using also these motherboards among others brands. Have never seen that exactly problem before, though - we are using external ZIP-drives on LPT...
But I've seen similar problem with ISA SCSI cards and Win2000 drivers... Win2000 has bad support for legacy ISA devices...It's M$ politics...

I agree with Ruslan. Make sure that eh SCSI card is correctly installed first in Device Manager, if it is not showing up you will have to add it manually. Make sure that IRQ 5 is set to Legacy/ISA in the BIOS and then set the SCSI card to use IRQ 5 (if the SCSI card is ISA). If the SCSI card is PCI then try PCI Slot 3 or 4 as these are the general slots that you can share resources with and not encur many problems.
