I have a STB nitro 3D video card that comes with a program called Vision95. It allows you to "stretch" the desktop to beyond what your monitor can display, so I can have a 1600x1200 desktop on a monitor that displays only 640x480. The rest of the desktop is seen by moving the cursor to the edges of the screen, and the desktop scrolls automatically. I have seen this on a Matrox Mystique and Matrox Productiva, and maybe an ATI, but I am not sure about that one. The problem is that the program works only on Windows 95 and no other. I would like to investigate any program, even if it means that I have to buy another video card to go with it, so that I can have this virtual desktop feature. I do not want virtual desktop "switching". I want to use this for image manipulation, spreadsheets, image thumbnails (works GREAT!), and to see as many files in Windows explorer and powerdesk. Sure, people may wonder why, but hey, that's how I like to work.
thank you all for reading and/or responding.
