Resolved [RESOLVED] Video interference on Asus P3W-E motherboard

    Please help.

Monitors connected to the onboard VGA port of an Asus P3W-E moterboard shows interference as if it's out of sync like the refresh rate is set wrong.
Nothing wrong with the monoitors (tested with 17" iiyama 405 and 15"Compaq M150)

Also shows in Bios setup screen

    Computer:
800 mghz Intel coppermine PIII and original cooler.
    128 mb memory
    No add on cards
A-Open Miditower 200 watt power supply

    Regards,

Have you checked to make sure that you have the latest video drives?.....If you have the latest one......uninstall the video adapter and reboot....Windows should detect it and install the drivers from scratch....that might help.

Sometimes.....with integrated video....that portion of the mb could be going bad.....if its still under waranty, check with the folks you purchased the computer from.

    hope this helps

Have you tried flashing to the latest BIOS version?

I built a system with a Soyo 5SSM mobo once with integrated sound and video. Had exactly the same behavior you described. A flash to the latest and greatest BIOS cleared it right up.
