Tyan Tiger 200 and Windows XP
Is anyone using a Tyan Tiger 200 motherboard and trying to install Win XP. I've run into several problems trying to install Win XP. The first is that the Promise 100 Raid Controller Driver is not accepted. Every time I try to install this 3rd party driver before the install, I keep receiving an error message that it causes an error. Without this driver, XP can't recognize my hard drives. Has anyone experienced this and what can I do? I've tried using the Win 2000 driver that came with the board and the new XP driver from Tyan's site, but I get the same message with both.
Here is the error message:
File \WinXP\Fasttrak.sys caused an unexpected error (4096) at line 2108 in d:\xpclient\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.
