Resolved [RESOLVED] Second hard drive not detected

When I go into Windows 98, it only detects my first drive (C even though in Windows XP it detects both. They are both formatted with FAT32.

    Need more info:

I presume that you dual boot. What method do you use to get into the different OS's, the XP boot loader, a boot floppy?..Need the specific method.

When in 98, if you run fdisk /status from the command prompt (don't worry this is safe) you should see both drives regardless of File System. What do you see?

The partition with WinXP installed most of the times is hidden when booting to Win98. But need more info as said above..

Did you let WinXP partition the hard drive? There is a very good chance that your WinXP hard drive is an NTFS partition. Windows XP can run and read FAT32 partitions (which is what your Windows 98 partition should be) but Windows 98 can only run and read FAT32 partitions. If your WinXP hard drive is partitioned as an NTFS drive, it will not show up under Win98.
