I have Windows 98 SE install on one of my machines and am having a peculiar issue. I'm not sure when the issue began. When I click the volume control in the system tray, it opens my C: drive. I right click on it and there are no menu items (menu appears but it's blank.
I tried unchecking 'show volume control in taskbar', rebooting and checking it again and that didn't help. I reinstalled Volume Control from Add/Remove control panel and that didn't help. I've reinstalled my sound card just for the sake of it and that didn't work either. All other systray icons work fine..it's just volume control that isn't working. I can still open sndvol32 from the hard drive, so it's not a huge issue but if anyone has any ideas it would be much appriciated =)
