    Resolved [RESOLVED] lost bios password

    I've commited the ultimate faux-pas, I've lost my bios password. Does anyone know how to reset it (bios)? I have an Oak Technologies motherboard, and no manual.. any help would be appreaciated.

    I believe that you get avoid that by clearing the CMOS, use the specified jumpers on the motherboard manual or pull out the battery for a while and reinstall.

    Oops. I meant to say the website's motherboard manual. I presume that you have net access since you posted here.

    You could use a utility that erases CMOS contents. It's like pulling off the battery.
    You don't need to open the chassis, though.

    KillCMOS utility is a good.
