Have you tried to delete it and restart the machine?

    Exclamation

The FWH's main purpose is the Random Number Generator, which some encryption programs are supposed to be able to use to provide more secure encryption.

To use it, first you have to download the Security Driver from Intel's web site. I think that will get rid of the exclamation point as well.

Firmware hub is the a bus compnent on Intel 800 series motherboards. Just download the latest inf updates from intel for your chipset, install it, delete the hub out of device manager and reboot.

You can get the latest INF driver from:

    http://developer.intel.com/design/so...nfinst_enu.htm
and it will work with everything from pentium classic HX chipsets to the newest, and usually gets rid of the firmware hub device listing.
