    Exclamation not a valid win32 application

    just recently formated my hard drive and reinstalled win98 everything wentpretty smooth except a friend game me a copy of a game that when i try to install i get the message "not a valid win32 application" i installed the game on a diffrent pc and it works so i know the disk is ok what could be wrong with mine??

    The CD-ROM is probably having trouble reading the CD.

    Just the other day I was trying to install the software for an HP scanner (it was even a press CD not a burned CD) and I was getting that error, so I swapped another CD-ROM in and it worked fine.
