Data error reading drive C and VMM32.VXD
Ive attempted to help a friend to boot up a puter we had all types of problems at first due to shipping ( dropped to box and loosened up video card). Anyway everytim you attempt to turn on the puter you get the openning Windows screen for a few seconds as if it was going thru functions check then all of a sudden you get an error message.
Reading:
Data error reading drive C
Abort?Retry?Ignore?Fail?
So I attempted to due all but to no avail. So I (ctrl+alt+del) and same thing again. Then I did something once and it said that the VMM32.VXD was damaged or not installed but before I could read anymore the screen went blank and said " It is safe to turn off your puter".
So now Ive exhausted all efforts to figure this out. Please Help
