    ctrl+alt+delete
Seriously...I don't know of a command that will shut down windows in a dos-prompt mode. other then typing exit at the prompt and then going to Start>Shut down....I don't know.
to bad you couldn't ask El Batcho...

    Cool

Are you wanting to close windows from a Dos window or from a true dos prompt?

To shut the PC off in True DOS you just should save and exit any running programs i.e games and press the off button on the PC case.
Normally [i.e.Win 3/9x]to start windows when booted up into true dos you simply need to type "WIN"at the C prompt, this does not work with ME/2K/XP as they do not boot to true dos.
This will not of course work if booted from a boot disk.
