    Angry Soundcard Line input conflicts

I am using an amd k6-2 450 motherboard with sis 530 chipset. I am not able to get the
line input on my sound card to work. I have tried other sound cards and it still will not
work. I have an updated bios. I am thinking that I need to disable the motherboards
onboard audio. I have done this through windows device manager to no avail.
Unfortunately I do not know how to disable the audio using jumper settings. The motherboards Manu. doesn't tell me how. Does my motherboard not support line inputs? My mic inputs run fine. Any help would be greatly
    appreciated. Thanks,

We will need the Sound Card and the Motherboard manufacturers and model numbers to help. On board audio should be disabled either in the bios or with a jumper on the motherboard.

The setting to disable the onboard sound should be in the Integrated Peripherals section of your BIOS. If not, and you're looking for a jumper to disable it, try looking near where the onboard sound is physically installed, that's where they tend to put them if they exist.
