hot-591p motherboard
Will this board accept a amdk6-3 475 plus processor? The manual say's up to 450 but other info says up to 550. help! because I would like to upgrade. by the way the board has a via 82c598mvp chipset

This board will support the 475 CPU. You will have to set the Vcc Core manually to 2.3 or 2.4 depending on the CPU (marked on the front of the case. Otherwise, it should be a cakewalk.

I can verify that the board can use a k6-2 550, as I've used one in a system I have for awhile. Works fine. Not sure though about a K6-3+, you would have to check the manual to see if it supported the 2.0 voltage first. I'll check and see if I can't find it myself later today...

hi,upgrade the bios to the latest one and it will support your k6/3 with no problems at all,good luck, clauded
