w98 windows update display

a silly problem thats dragging on.
using windows 98 update as soon as i go for update files it cannot display the page.microsoft have changed the catalogue control software around 20th october.ive done
all the suggested corrections on that page
and q243787 and still no joy.i like to use the update facility as a measure of microsofts faith in its own upgrades.for eg.directx 7 which was available some weeks but not from the update site which to me ment
caution and proved right as it refused to work with 30% of my software and went back to 6.1

if anyone can try the update page and report
if worked or not i will at least know if microsoft is just picking on me.

ignore the above post. at 3.pm today i managed to duplicate the problem on w95nt.
at 3.20 the problem had gone.looks like
microsoft has returned the old catalogue controls.its only took them six days to do it.
hopefully at home it will be the same once
i undo all the changes microsoft had docummented.
