IE6 buttons

on all buttons on any web page i have a box with a red square a green circle and a blue triangle, i have tried re-installing IE6, and Win98se but it still not right help!!

Are downloading the upgrade or do you have an install disk?

Also you may want to check on the Java,possibly

i have a cover disk, but i originaly dl IE6 form the net, what about the java settings?
also i am unable to open any J-peg's, i was able to open them before this problem.

i can get IE to display pictures by right clicking, and clicking on "show picture" this also works for any icons on web pages, but how do i make it do it automatically ? thanx in advance

the fix was, go to internet tools/internet options then on to advanced tab, in the multimedia section the "show pictures" had become un-checked,
