Dell Optiplex GXA - won't keep BIOS settings
Greetings (2nd post)
I have a Dell Optiplex GXA 233. It will not remember any bios settings. I have a brand new battery in it, but it still does it. Have also performed a full virus scan on it (with up to date software).
Should I try a BIOS update?
Thank you,
Al

not yet ,,,,,check the new battery with voltmeter ,,,,also check connections ,,,,very doutfull this is a prob that will go away with a bios update ,,,if the machine is working normaly (apart from holding settings) then u don,t need to "risk" upgrading bios
what were the symptoms ? (as this started) ,,,,also check that the bios clear jumper is in place and set correctly.
