[RESOLVED] Window 98 Installation error
Let see, I just a new motherboard/cpu. It is a Gigabyte, AMD Athlon 750. So I installed Windows 95 which worked fine, then I try upgrading to Windows 98. It finished copying all the crap, and the in restarts like it is suppose to, but once it is restarted, it just shuts down by itself. Sometimes it gives me an error before it shutdown.
A fatal exection 0E has occurred at 0028:C002B0DB in VXD IFSMGR(01)
+ 00002977. The current application will be terminated.
Then I push a button and the computer just turns off. Anybody have any ideas. Please help if you can.

1. Could be a possible heat problem with the CPU temp
2. Do a clean install of Win98

Yes do a clean install of 98. It might be loading something from win95 that will not work with that cpu and mb. If you do a clean install you will save yourself a lot of problems.
