    Question Strange keyboard behavior.

I'm having a problem with a natural keyboard on a pentium 2 Windows 95 system.

When a shift key is pressed the system speaker makes a little click / beep and the keyboard won't respond to the next key pressed. A shift and letter combination prints the character in caps but won't respond to the next keypress.

It could be the motherboard giving up the ghost. Any ideas?

    Merry christmas!

    Cool

Pop off the keys to make sure nothing is stuck under the keys. Use some compressed air to clean it all out. Hope this helps.

The funny thing is that both shift keys do the same thing. I don't think it's dirt under the key.

I thought it could be a wiring problem in the keyboard cable, not sure.

Have you tested your system with a different keyboard? I have found that sometimes the Microsoft natural keyboards don't like to work right on some systems. Not sure what's going on there...

Try re-installing the keyboard drivers. If you still get the errors or wierd behavior, return it and try another keyboard.
