 fatal exception 0d 0028:c00028c6 in vxd vmm(01) + 000018c6
Can anyone offer some help on the above error. I receive this error when trying to shut down. When pressing "any key" to continue the system attempts to reboot. When the a: drive is accessed, it reports that operating system not found. Turning the computer off will reboot normally but a three finger salute produces the same operating system not found.

i think that your board is an at and not an atx type.
you need a cold boot to turn the hard disk on.
try replacing operating system to win95, or replacing mainboard
