Red face Windows 98 clock is slower/faster than a watch

Can anyone give me a solution to why my PC P-800, 128MB PC133, Gigabyte clock would be sometimes faster and/or slower than my watch time. Time and date is set correctly in Windows, so I know it's not a time zone issue. Also the CMOS time is the same as the Windows time. This is a brand new PC, so I don't think it's a CMOS battery problem...Could it be a AC power thing??? Please help! Thanks...

    Buy a new watch!

Actually, it's probably just a bad chip on the motherboard, see if you can get the board replaced.

Put a new battery in, just because mobo is new don't mean nothing,
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.
