Hi! anyone using the Giagabyte GA-7ZXE motherboard under Windows XP. If so does it have any probs or any incompatibilities and is it a reliable board and does it offer good features.

    Thanks

I can't say about the specific model but from years of experience I can say that Gigabyte makes very good mobo's.

They're not always number one on performance (sometimes they are) but they have always had rock solid mobos and followed with very good support (drivers, bios updates etc..)
also I think the fact that they still use creative PCI chips for onboard audio instead of cheapos AC97 chips shows their commitment to quality.

This box has that board in it running XP pro. I have used the Gigabyte in dozens of builds with no issues at all with WinXP.

Just be shure to have the latest Drivers like the latest Via 4-in-1. Via Technologies. There is no reason this board should give you problems. There have been some bios changes relative to ACPI and WinNT series compliance. You might have another problem than your motherboard. Check all your drivers and make sure you dont have a software compatibility problem elsewhere. I also found that running windows update could give you more recent drivers "certified" by microsoft... At least try to be more specific with your problem.
If it aint broken dont fix it..I should realy start doing that
