    Resolved [RESOLVED] win98 explore preview problem

    hello,

    To preview HTML and images with win98 explore is simple and handy. However, after I install and uninstall Paintshop Pro demo software, my win98 explore could not preview any image more (html is still OK). Could any one explain me how should I deal with this problem? Thank you.

    sounds like just a file association problem.

    You get to choose which filetypes are associated with the program during the installation. Just unselect everything to be on the safeside and continue the install.

    You are correct to say it is file association problem. I have just changed the reg setting (shellex) of .jpg according to a previous post. Now the .jpg preview works again!

    However, I still have preview problem for other formats...tif. bmp..

    Could any one post our the reg settings (shellex) for other image formats? Thank you.

    Don't use Paintshop pro. Use PhotoShop or Illustrator (much better products.) Both made by a reliable company called Adobe.
