Post Windows DLLs for software distribution

We are making a windows95/98/NT software package for distribution. We use some third party software for some functions. This third party software needs some of the latest greatest windows DLL to run correctly. The work around is to install Internet Explore 4.01 on old windows versions, but it's not reasonable to get our clients to do this on installation.
Is there a common technique and group of windows DLL's that windows developers package together for installation. You can't just install random windows dlls, the versions between some of them have to relate.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Why not just put in your documentation and packaging that Internet Explore 4.01 or newer is required to use your product.
