    Unhappy boot disk

I need to reformat my son's C:, D:, and E: drives (D: and E: are the 2 partitions on the slave hard drive. I tried a boot disk that I had made a while back and I don't think it is working right. Can anyone tell me the right way to make a boot disk if the computer you are booting it onto isn't working? This all began while trying to install a new CD ROM and somehow some critical files got corrupted. So we are going to start from scratch. By the way, the 2nd drive will be moved to the master position and the original drive will be removed for use in another PC.

first you need to find a computer that works.
next get a blank floppy and from the dos prompt type "sys a:"
you should then copy format.com to the floppy.
this will make a boot disk so you can format your disk drives.
