    Resolved [RESOLVED] Windows is already running -error msg.

    I am Able to boot my Tyan 2 processor mother board in safe mode, but when I try 'normal' windoze 98 , all I get is a single text line that says windows is already running. I have looked in Win.ini file and config, autoexec, ect. EVERY wheres to see if it trys to load windoze twice. I have installed 95 and 98 and both have same trouble. Nt 4.0 server, workstation , Beos 3.2 and BeOS 4.0 all boot & run mutliprocessor fine. the Tyan has 2 P2's, @ 266 with 224 megs ,version 2.02 of the BIOS (latest) & AGP 8 meg all in wonder video card. Suggestions ?

    have you tried removing one of the processors to see if this solves it??? Could be that the 2 CPU's is confusing win98.

    I have been told that Windoze98/95 will just 'ignore' the extra CPU, but you are correct I havent tried yanking out a CPU ... yet . That seems so , uhm, drastic and rather awkward but I'll try anything to see if the nasty message vanishes. Thnx for the ULTRA fast response BTW !
