Resolved [RESOLVED] password on BIOS set up

I created a password for the BIOS setup for my olivetti lap-top a year ago and I have forgotten it. Can anyone help?

There are a couple of things you can try. First, take out the CMOS battery for at least 5 seconds, and it will reset the BIOS to default settings (no password). The only problem is that is resets ALL the settings .... so if you had any special considerations set for fast memory, LBA, etc. , you will have to reset those.
Secondly, you could download this utility called KILLCMOS.zip that, after unzipping the file ... if you read the readme file, it will tell you how to wipe out the existing BIOS password. It to, unfortunately, resets the entire BIOS to the default state. D/L from gestas.beritrans.com/files/crk-bin/other and scroll down the alphabetical list to select KILLCMOS.zip . Have fun DUDE !
