    Angry Task Manager over 100%

    Hi!

I have this NT Server running a fox database, NTshield & a Exchange software.

I was working OK until yesterday that I couldnīt open a single document withuot waiting about 5 minutes to open. The task manager shows that the CPU usage is 100% & the Kernel less than 10%. Itīs been like that for more than an hour & thereīs NO apliccation open.

My server itīs a DELL Optiplex PIII
    64 RAM

    Thanks

    For starters: Add more RAM
How many users are on this Server?
Have you added more users lately?

Click on the "Processes" tab, then click the CPU column header.

Tell us which process is using up all of the cpu cycles...

ran into this a few weeks ago, we ended up adding a drive and reinstalling on that drive, then moving the data files back to the new drive, not the best solution perhaps but it worked. It seemed as though the OS was corrupt, The problem BTW appeared after a lightning strike that killed the servers UPS...
