    NT 4.0 System fails to detect network adapter

    My network adapter fails during the loopback part of the intel adapter test. I tried most of the trouble shooting steps to resolve such as reinstalling the lastest drivers, installed new network adapter, disable plug and play. My bios does not have a bus mastering feature, so that is not enabled. The system was working earlier so I thought it could even be the motherboard. Any sugestions.

    try :
    1. changing slot
    2. move out any card beside the video adapter.
    3. change video card (maybe 16 bit meantime).

    Tech is my spec.
