Unhappy backup exec on NT 4

We are using Backup Exec on NT Server 4. Everything was fine until recently we started getting CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) errors in the middle of the backup and it would report the backup job failed.
What can I do to fix this problem?

    Thanks
    Rafi

How old/used are the tapes you are using?

Also check if your backing up more data than the tape will hold.

Try the above messages. Try a new tape. If that doesn't work it could be that your tape drive is going out.

Use a cleaning tape and clean the drive.
    To each his/her own.
