[RESOLVED] acer aspire bios update
i've been trying to upgrade my computer's bios to recognize hard drive larger than 2 gigs. my computer specs:
Acer Aspire
p/n 91.aa772.et7
pentium 120
been to acer website, no luck. any ideas out there?

I think your only solution is the one I tool for my Packard Bell, I had to buy a third party bios from mr bios so my system could recognize my 10.2 gig drive
just go to www.mrbios.com and send them an email I beleive there is a form on their site you fill out so they know what kind of computer motherboard and chipset you have and if you have onboard video
the bios will cost you 59 bucks but it is worth it
give their site a check

You can also use an aftermarket disk overlay program to get the full use out of your hard drive and not have to replace the bios
maxtor ships such an overlay program with thier drives and i believe you can purchase such programs from the drive manufacturers as well
