Netscape is dead. I knew it would happened eventually when IE was first announced back in the mid-90s. But I figured they'd go out in a blaze of glory, instead of a pathetic whimper.

Actually, it probably works great in Linux (Haven't tried it yet) but I bet MS "patched" 98, 2K and ME to not allow any "good" third party web browsers to work. Even though Netscape 4.75 works in 2K...but I hate that thing.

They take the 9x Interface and try to port it into linux. The Browser Runs Stable but web pages look much better in 9x/Me/NT then in Linux running Netscape.

Not even Microsoft could purposely make Netscape 6 suck this bad through some devious anti-competition programming. Heck, with Netscape as bad as it is, MS can just let Netscape self-destruct. They don't need any help! Look at the bright side, maybe AOL will lose a whack of money on this deal!

Netscape 6.0 should be great for business AOL 5.0 and 6.0 was! Check acticle on MS site about AOL AO HELL also at www.techrepublic.com register as user or browse topics lots of articles about AOL & Netscape 5.0 $ 6.0.
Love it when customers install new OS or software good for business to help them fix thier OS.
