The standard until we retire?....Isn't that the whole idea behind technology?...that it changes????????

New enough to the industry, I really don't know much different...I agree that the it is hard to keep the cables inside neat though...
Failure is not an option -- its a "feature" of Windows.

Ooops! Did I say years .. I meant days!

It was just wishful thinking anyway, even though those manditory upgrades give you plenty of spares for the older POS that show up "after hours".

Love it when it works, hate it when it doesn't.

Out of sight, out of mind. It often amazes me how much effort some people go through to make things inside the case look neat and tidy......

I was confused as hell with it when I bought mine, but after I figured out that I could turn the system off(safely) by pushing the power button....yeah...I was hooked...

    Thumbs up

If I had a choice between working on an ATX case or an AT case, I'd always choose the ATX. All the standard stuff (like IDE controllers, COM ports, etc) were already mounted and didn't have to screwed on. made building new systems and swapping out boards way easier. Also depending on the manufacturer of the case, you didn't need those stupid plastic stand-offs.
