[RESOLVED] pc100 super7 mainboard M598
I am having difficulty getting a decent sound level for recording via both mike & line in. I have tried all the usual things with sliders to max volume etc. I wish to to record wav files. Internally from cdrom there is no problem. Is it a driver problem? I have used v3.7 supplied with board.

Hello,
I hope this helps with your sound card, you can download either the PCI Sound Pro or the basic SoundPro drivers, preferablly the newer version.

Yes PC Chips and PC100 motherboards are the same. I have not been able to make any of them (the 500series with the sound built-in) work for recording (using a mic or anything else). For my customers, I ended up just replacing the sound with a Creative Labs Ensoniq sound board.
