BIOS Tools
Okay I want to change some features in BIOS I can't find there, but I know my motherboard has, presumably I can use something like BIOS tweak, but I'm using a Via 266a board which it doesn't seem to have heard of so any other suggestions..?

It's Award, and I want to enable wake up/power on with either mouse or keyboard, board is a Soltec 75drv2, the mannual states it can support this, but no Bios option hence the question.

Have you searched for a newer version of the BIOS, then?

I have seen such a utility before--not sure where. I would start at viahardware.com and see what I can find....

BIOS dated 26/10/2001 can be down loaded here:
http://www.soltek.de/English/download/S75DRV2.htm
Go to Power Management -> Resume from S3 Enabled, also you can set the wakeup to happen when certain IRQs are polled...

Cheers Chipzilla, I've got that one, as for the other suggestion that's for wake from suspend not power on, what's the IRQ for a keyboard then?
Can't find anything either Sowulu on viahardware or viatech or any others I thought of. Soltek told me to wait for a BIOS update but I'm sure I've seen progs to do this kind of thing before..

Confus-ed, a keyboard is usually IRQ1. Maybe this helps...

Sorry 'twas rhetorical and I know a ps/2 mouse is 12 both of which I can't monitor. I want to wake system from off - not standby or suspend.

I think that this is the one I was thinking of. It doesn't appear to support your chipset but it wouldn't hurt to email it's author at [email protected] and get his thoughts....
