    Post Echange 5.5 mail

We currently have our Exchange server setup to as the mail server in our dns and in our ISP's dns. Meaning, when someone sends mail to our company, it comes directly to us and not to the ISP.
We will soon be moving offices. We are worried about some possible downtime, and we would like the mail to go to the ISP and then to us (so if we are down, it will be held on the ISP's server). We have the necessary details for the config of the dns, but how do you configure the Exchange server to download mail from the ISP?

    Thanks
    Rafi

Mail servers will hold mail for a certain amount of time, so panicing about downtime is not justified. A mail server will re-send the mail at specified intervals until it hits, or until it can no longer be sent (usually 72hrs)
if you ar egoing from one building to another, there is always the possibilty of moving everything at 9:00pm or later, when most corps don't send/receive email.
as for a direct answer to your question, check ms knowledge base... (haven't a clue n 5.5 - 2k ok)

We will be moving after our working hours. Problem is we are an international company and when it is night by us, it is daytime in our other offices, and by many of our clients. Much of ur email comes in during our night-time.. Our server is the mail server. If it is down, all incoming mail is rejected. Downtime is a valid worry. Therefore we are going to make the ISP the mail server for those days and they will hold our mail until the server goes back online (hopefully within 2 - 3 hours..). We know how to set that up in the dns, as per instruction from the ISP. We do not know how to set the Excange to pull the mail from the ISP..
