Question PC Chips Boad w/video poblems

I am workng on a machie that has a PC Chips board (PC266, Socket A M810 series). It has onboard video. When powering on the sytem the monitor will not kick in. After turning on and off several times it will work. When the system is warm and you shut down it will start right up. Only does this when it is cold. You hear the machine spin up but no video. Replaced the monitor and still have the same problems. The light on the monitor stays amber with the "no signal" indicator flashing.

    HELP

    Thanks...Joe

I would get rid of the motherboard and get myself a decent one. I know this might be difficult for you, but the motherboard is the cause of the problem.

    Good luck!

try disabling the onboard video through the bios and trying another video card and see if that helps.

keep us posted. I agree with the above posts, that PC CHips are poor motherboards. Get what you pay for kind of a deal....

I've seen similiar problems on other PC Chips boards and tracked it down to memory problems. Have you checked that?

I agree with Ruslan 300 to 350 Watt power supply with M810's seem to work well. The onboard video doesn't like a weak psu.
