[RESOLVED] Wave Device for Voice Modem

Win. 98 keeps finding this Wave Device for Voice Modem, but does not install the drivers for it. Where can I find the driver? Is this a sound card driver, modem driver, or what? The machine is Compaq Deskpro 4000 5166.

It should be on the disk that came with your modem, just have windows do an automatic search for it.

also, go to modems in the control panel and see if there are 2 of the same modems installed (sometimes only one will show in the device manager).

If there are 2, remove them both, then go back to the device manager and hit refresh.
