[RESOLVED] Dial-Up Networking - Remember password
I've noticed that when you create a dial-up networking connection on some computers, the Remember Password box is greyed out, & you're never given the option to allow your password to be saved. On other computers its no problem. How do you enable this feature? Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure if this is the correct way to do it, but, when the save password is grayed out I have gone to windows setup, communications and installed "direct cable connection". When I reboot it has always allowed me to save the password.
Anyone know of a better way??

Check the Microsoft Knowledge Base, and search for article Q137361. That article explains why you can't save the password.

I have WIN 95. I have to install client for Microsoft Network in the Network folder of Control Panel to have that option.
