    Post Internet Email Access

    Hi All,
Hope you can help me out.
We have about 8 - 10 laptops in our office who use email, they also connect to our network. We have 1 x server (Win2k Advanced server sp1 + Exchange 5.5 sp4 running our internet and mail all connected through a Cisco 1720 router.
The laptop in question is a Dell Inspiron 4000, Xircom 10/100 + 56k Modem, Win2k, Office2k, using microsoft outlook not outlook express.
The Dell is all set up to access the network share files, printers, internet and even the email(sending and reciving).
When I get this laptop onto the dial up connection, I can get internet and recive mail but I cant send any mail at all. I get the error 550 relaying is prohibited.

Our router is setup to allow only certin ip addresses which I have checked.
I have done an"ipconfig" to get the dialup ip and made sure it's range is allowed to access the server to recive/send mail. I have even put in the exact ip address and still no joy.

Any sugestions as to what I have missed?
Once this one is sorted out I can do the others and stop getting reamed over this issue......
    Thanks a heap peoples

    Yosh

    the POP is local.
I am now able to send email via the dial up connection. I had to go in and add class c ip's to the allow restrictions tab in exchange. eg 123.456.789.0 and 255.255.255.0

This now means that I have to get all the ip addresses from our ISP and add the......what a pain in the butt.
