Mobil Intel Pentium 150mhz MMX?

I seem to remember hearing that there was a pentium 150 MMX for laptops, anyone remember for sure? I just got a laptop in that was supposedly a 133 but it says Pentium MMX on the case. I don't remember hearing about that. The program I used to test the speed of the processor says it's 150. I vaguely remember hearing of a 150 MMX before but am unsure. What do I have here? I will look it up on Acer's website but I don't have a lot of confidence of finding info. Any help would be appreciated!

That's all well and good but are they 150 mmx or just 150 and more importantly is this a 150 or 150mmx? According to acers website this series was usually a 133 but that last number they list is lower than the model number i have on this laptop.

What is the model ## of the laptop, Ive got some old manuals around I can look it up for ya.

Thanks it is an Acer Note light. Model is 370 series. Extension 383. I looked it up on Acers sight and although they have info for the 370 series, they have nothing on this model of it. Most of the 370 series appear to be 133's. This one has a sticker on it saying Intel Pentium MMx inside. I have an older test program that says the cpu is a 150 mhz proc. I thought MMX started at 166, but I also vaguely remember mention of 150mmx. Thanks for any/all info.

The wholesaler I used to work for had several shipments of Intel Pentium MMX 133mhz in late 1998. These were regular socket 7 processors, and we were told that the same processor was available in 150mhz but was much rarer and more expensive. Presumably the only advantage was that people with old motherboards that did not support 66-mhz bus (but why would it support P55C?) could use them. These didn't appear to be remarks, and in our "testing" ran stably up to 266 mhz in most cases.

Thanks i appreciate it. I do believe this laptop to be one of those 150's. It seems awful zippy for a 133. Besides on their, all the models they do have none say mmx. Anyway it's not a bad little laptop! We have already resold it. Thanks for the responses!
