    Cool DOS 2 TCP/IP printing

Trying to get a DOS program to print to a TCP/IP address. Does anyone know of a way to bind a Lpt port to a TCP/IP address??? Workstations are all Win98se the network is basically peer to peer. We just installed a Ricoh Laser printer via CAT5 and all works great through windows. BUT the accounting program is DOS and will not print to anything other than a Lpt port.
    Thanks in advance.

Even for A tcp/IP printing (in a Workgroup environment) there is a share.
so the obvious to do is to map a physical port (like lpt1) to the priter:
    Net use \\Computer\Printer lpt1
Obviously do it in a Loging Script so you will have less job 2 do.

    Question

I realize you can map a printer that is attached to a computer but if I understand you correctly your saying to simply share one of the WS printers then map it as you normally would for the DOS program.
Either way I will try it here shortly and let you know the results.
    Thanks
    John
