I'm setting up an inherited 550 PIII server, Tyan Thunder 100 (inherited b/c the former users had uptime troubles)...

I've downloaded the most recent BIOS (9/2/99, in fact), and flashed it. So far, so good.

I've cleared the CMOS, and the machine boots with the message "Press F1 for setup, press F2 for defaults"... The problem is, no keyboard commands are recognized, period.

I *did* set the BIOS to "Quick boot" hoping to pass up the onboard SCSI (nonconfigured), but eventually just jumpered out the SCSI. I'm wondering if doing so has hosed keyboard recognition, since "Quick boot" is mentioned on the Tyan site as a method of bypassing the keyobard check.

Any and all comments would be appreciated. I hope I don't have to buy a new BIOS...
