Media Player 7
Prob:
Customer calls me this morning saying they downloaded Media Player 7 this weekend, and ever since, Windows won't boot.
By not booting, she means it comes up to only the wallpaper, no Icons. I helped her through a few things, doing msconfig in safe mode, removing all but the most neccessary windows startup items, etc. but nothing seems to work. I am pretty sure, Media Player didn't do this, but has anyone else seen this problem?
Any help is appreciated.
BTW,
Machine is a PIII-933
Win 98 SE
128 RAM
NIC, SB Live, CDRW, CD, Creative Annhilator GeForce 2, On Asus mobo
Thanks in Advance

Try to get them into Safe Mode and uninstall EasyCD Creator for the CDRW. There is a known issue between EZ CD Creator & Media Player 7.
You used to be able to find a fix for it at Adaptec's website, but I don't know if it is still there.
