Boot menu disable?
Can't remember what to do when you get the windows boot menu every time? How can I disable it to just come up in normal mode?

techs:
Edit your MSDOS.SYS file, and check your [Options] section for a line that reads
BootMenu=1
Change the "1" to a "0", save changes, and exit
Next time you restart the computer, you should not get the Startup Menu
Lemme know how this works out for ya

If your using win98 just go to start, run, type in msconfig, click on advanced, uncheck "enable startup menu".
Hope this helps.

get a copy of tweakui 98 from microsoft's website it will allow you to set the boot menu the way you want along with many other settings, and it will work on win9x and win2k...

Just type "attrib -r -s -h msdos.sys" to access that particular file, if you are doing it under DOS-Prompt.
You will see some "x"'es. Don't delete any of them! MSDOS.SYS's size must remain the same after editing it.
Then type "attrib +r +s +h msdos.sys" to restore it as a hidden system file.
Just an addition...
Good luck Techs!
