acer aspire
if any one has an acer aspire, pn: 86.2c75x.r88 - sold by dixons/currys (UK), some 5+ years ago (its a intel p75, 8mb RAM)
i cant find the specs of this on acer website, only 9x. pn's are listed.
I wanted to find info relating to removing the bios password.
Also, is the Win95 a special version for acer?
What the modem / sound card makes are and driver availability.
this did come with a recover cdrom but the person has "lost" it!!!
any help, appreciated.

I'd think that if you pulled the battery and left the computer unplugged for a while, that would take care of the BIOS password problem.

I agree. If you just want to clear the CMOS try this <a href="http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/acer/mb/acermb.htm" target="_blank">site.</a> It has alot of info on Acer Mobos.

additional info
there's a jumper, j2, which you can set / unset to "ignore" the bios password.
incidentally i tried a password removal util, and the pc stopped with a "password violation - system halted"
