    Can anybody tell me the key strokes to enter a compaq 2000 computer

    If the F10 doesn't work, it is possible the CMOS has been removed. You see Compaq is different in that they store there CMOS in a partition which is found at the beginning of the drive. If this partition is deleted, the machine will still boot properly and everything will appear fine, but there will be no CMOS. If this is the case, you can hit Compaq's website and download what I believe the call ROMPaqs. Good luck. Questions? just post them.

    You have a Deskpro 2000? Which model (e.g. 5100)? If you want to try and find the proper ROMpaq yourself go to this link, select the proper 'family' designation, 'model' number, and 'ROMPaqs and System Software,' then click go. Now you can just download the file that says 'Setup' in the name. Run that file after downloading and follow the instructions it gives...
